India, France conclude RS 30,000 cr deal on air defence system


New Delhi: India and France on Thursday concluded negotiations on a deal expected to be worth around Rs 30,000 crore for co-developing a short-range air defence system even as French President Francois Hollande made a fresh push for the sale of Rafale fighter jets to India."Both sides noted the ongoing progress of negotiations on the Medium-Multirole Combat Aircraft (M-MRCA) programme and look forward to their conclusion... steps are being taken for finalisation of the Short-range Surface to Air Missile(SR-SAM) project," India and France said in a joint statement.   1. Once again you are propogating blatent lies, this deal is worth more than $3.5 Billion USD so how can the UK aid be paying for this when the sum total of UK aid paid to India in the period 2010-2015 (when aid to India will stop) is only $1 billion USD?


    This $1BN USD sure is being stretched by the Indians, you claim it is funding their entire military, all their military R&D projects, their space agency, their private defence companies and now this deal.
