The wife of a soldier left brain damaged from a roadside bomb in Iraq yesterday attacked the Ministry of Defence's 'insulting' compensation offer.
Sarah Edwards said the £114,000 payout would make it a huge struggle to provide for Lance Corporal Martin Edwards, who will require life long care, and their young son.

(RG) Defence ministers can make as many TV appearances as they want promising this that and the other but the above story is the reality of how this Country treats its servicemen & woman. I take my hat off to all the lads in the Forces at the moment risking their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq because that is their job and they will get on with it even if they have to beg and borrow food and ammunition from our American allies, but when you put the above in context with
Worst injured soldier ever to survive is awarded less than RAF typist with a sore thumb you should be appalled unless you are one of these Lefty Military haters who rule us like Stalin ruled his country. I know Hate is a strong word and its not good for your blood pressure but I Hate this Labour Government with a passion that is all consuming and bad for my already dodgy health. I cant believe we live like this it is a nightmare that I cannot wake up from and the sheep just keep on voting them back in to power . God help us.
