MoD betrayed troops, coroner says

A coroner has accused the Ministry of Defence today of breaching British soldiers' trust by sending them to fight the Taliban without basic equipment.
Andrew Walker spoke out at the end of an inquest into the death of Captain James Philippson, 29, of
7 Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery who was killed after British troops were "totally out-gunned" in a battle in Afghanistan on June 11, 2006.

(RG) The coroner had all the relevant facts in this case. It is disgraceful that the modern day British Army should be "totally out-gunned" A little help from our so called European allies wouldn’t go amiss either.

  1. Mack, The article leaves much to be desired. It left major gaps in reporting the facts. If indeed it was proven that the military lacked the proper equipment. The nation should hold the military accountable for sending in the troops without proper equipment and weaponry...Good post, stay well.....
