Honour troops with parades?
Soldiers should be honoured with homecoming parades on their return from battle, the head of the Army said yesterday. Gen Sir Richard Dannatt spoke of a "gulf" between the Army and the nation. Celebrating the return of units from Iraq and Afghanistan would help demonstrate "respect" for their commitment, he said. Read It Here
(RG) Fantastic idea but sadly in the Former Great Britain this will never happen as the Socialists who rule us care more about upsetting others who hate our Armed Forces, I’m afraid the days of Victory Parades` as I was part of after the Falklands War are a thing of the past as is respecting our servicemen & woman.

The tax payers' money spent on homecoming parades for returning servicemen and women could be spent teaching firefighters Polish, or Arabic, or Urdu, or any other foreign language of the moment etc. It could be spent providing Halal food and prayer facilities everywhere for Moslems. It could be spent training schoolchildren to decide what they want to do for their homework.
ReplyDeleteReally, there are many more important (recte whacky) ideas to fund than parades by which an ungrateful government can say welcome back and thank you, on behalf of the nation, to our soldiers, sailors and airmen.
Saying 'thank you' to members of the armed forces? Why, whatever next!
Thats right William more more deserving causes than the Forces. I deal with it all by thinking of Britian as a differnt country now like we have lost a War a War without firing a shot, this really is the Former Great Britian.
ReplyDeleteBr*tain is dead, RG, and those of us who long for something we can be proud to call home look to England. Br*tishness has been corrupted into something that is about nothing more than unfounded conceit, duplicity, betrayal, ingratitude and a contemptible disregard for basic decency.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at the videos you have posted I see men with qualities that are beyond the comprehension of the rats fattening themselves at Westminster and I wonder how long it is until they say 'enough!'
Do you recall how they ran from the chamber when that group of angry fathers poured powder from the strangers' gallery? Had I been there my first reaction would have been to close all exits, not to leave by the nearest available one.
We are ruled by the scum of the earth yet treated as such by them.
