Nine injured in 'friendly fire'


Nine British troops have been injured in a "friendly fire" incident in Helmand, Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
A UK Apache helicopter opened fire on troops from 2 Para on Wednesday after they were "mistaken for the enemy".

(RG) Even British pilots can make mistakes, but without these air assets flown by British or American pilots more of our troops would be killed or injured by the enemy. My sympathy to the injured Para’s. I know that this pilot will be gutted but needs to get back in the air and get on with the job.
