Gurkha veterans seek equal rights
Hundreds of retired Gurkhas are demonstrating in Westminster to demand the right to remain in the UK. Read It Here
(RG) What an utter disgrace for these men to be treated so shamefully by the Country they were willing to lay down their lives for. Why on earth should a former Gurkha soldier have to apply to stay in the UK when we seem to have an open door policy for every other Tom Dick and Harry to come here and live on hand outs. These are brave honourable men and I for one would rather live in a whole street of Gurkhas than the vast majority of theUK citizens, especially a Gurkha who has fought along side me in the Falklands War

It's a shame that the politicians creating these "policies" have never had to actually earn their citizenships or freedoms like the Ghurka have. We have the same plague in the States. A good amount of our citizens have never had to earn their freedoms so it’s easy enough to take them away from our soldiers that became American citizens through service and sacrifice. Our brothers in the UK are experiencing the pain and humiliation from those we swore to protect. It boils down to “same sh*t, different country”.
ReplyDeletemack,,,Good post....I say Amen to CC's comment as you can see what is happening in the US presently and the Military....stay well..
ReplyDeleteIt seems absurd to open our doors to criminals yet slam them closed in the face of the Gurkhas!
