Anderson, Duncan, ''The Falklands War 1982,'' Page 44 An Insult To T Battery

I have just been on the wikipedia site to try and change some inaccurate information about Rapier missile kills during the Falklands War. At one time some joker has stated that we had only shot down one aircraft, its slightly better now after another author that probably did his research from sites such as Wikipedea has claimed The Rapier system succeeded in shooting down only three enemy aircraft." Anderson, Duncan, ''The Falklands War 1982,'' Page 44 (Botley, 2002) If that was the case which it certainly is not then our call sign 32 Alpha must have got them all as we hit two at San Carlos and One at Fitzroy and I have published proof here http://rogue-gunner.blogspot.com/2008/01/official-regimental-record-of-t.html I have not read Duncan Andersons book but I can tell you that page 44 is a work of fiction or bad research, probably the latter. Some may say , `What does it matter?` well it matters to me, history deserves better than guess work and books like ''The Falklands War 1982,''

  1. Someone needs to set the record straight, go for it! I often wonder what we have lost because no one really looked and reported.
