A posting to the US may sound like a dream come true. But Disneyland it isn't, and there are things you need to know. Report by Ian Carr.
Every Monday morning during the summer, and every second Monday during the winter in a Hotel in Washington, Major Gerry Crow and his team from the British Defence Staff US welcome the new intake of civilian and military personnel who have just arrived to start tours of duty in the country. Over the course of the morning, they are given a crash course in living in America. The first lesson is delivered by the Deputy Defence Attaché, Colonel Mike Page (RM).
