British soldier shot dead on training exercise

An investigation is under way after a young British soldier was shot dead on a training exercise in Kenya.
Fusilier James Wilkinson, 21, from Bury, Greater Manchester, died on November 26 on a training exercise with his unit, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
The matter is being investigated as a training accident which took place on a firing range. Fusilier Wilkinson was married to wife Sarah in July and she is expecting their first child in February.He had been in the Army for 12 months and was stationed in Germany.
