A British soldiers has died in Afghanistan following an accident.



A British soldiers has died in Afghanistan following an accident, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The soldier was from the 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment. He died from injuries suffered during the incident at the British base in Sangin.
The MoD said in a statement: "The circumstances of the accident will be the subject of an investigation."
He said no further details would be released until the investigation was complete.
He added: "We can confirm that the soldiers death was not the result of enemy action."
An MoD spokeswoman would not discuss the circumstances of the death, but stated the special investigation branch of the Royal Military Police would be looking into the incident. Read the rest Here


(RG) This soldier may have been killed in a tragic accident rather than hostile action but it matters not to his comrades and family and friends, he has served his country with honour. RIP.
