SAS Troops Quitting For Jobs In Iraq British soldiers don’t join the SAS for money they join because they want to be part of the Elite amongst special Forces, so even if their pay was hugely increased it would not make much difference in the long run. Once they have done every thing they want in the Regiment and before they get to old they obviously go on the `circuit` and earn some good cash. Its not something most do for very long that’s why the jobs have to be good earners. In fairness some ex troopers who miss the camaraderie of the Regiment go and work in Iraq & Afghanistan because they miss the buzz and surge of adrenaline of SF ops. Getting a shed load of money is literally a bonus. Good luck to them and if you fancy your chances there is always an opening for an eager Tom.
