(RG) It must be said first and foremost that my sincerest condolences go to Cpl Wright's family and colleagues after this soldiers tragic death RIP. I obviously don’t know the full facts about this incident but I do respect the account given by Colonel Stuart Tootal. This fine British officer with great experience who was due for promotion to General quit the Army in disgust citing frustrations about lack of equipment, poor pay and conditions for his men and their families, and "shocking" treatment of the wounded. He could have just kept his mouth shut took his promotion and left the Army with a large pension, but obviously Colonel Stuart Tootal was a true officer who cared deeply about his men, I have now doubt he would have put his life in jeopardy to save the life of one of his private soldiers. What was this clearance "at Nato level". Bullshit? I wonder if one of the Royal Princes were in a similar situation they would have had to wait for three and a half hours? I think it is utterly disgraceful that the Ministry of Defence has suggested that Cpl Wright had detonated the mine by moving. They will do anything to lay blame elsewhere even at the feet of a soldier who gave his life for Queen & Country. Once again in my opinion we cannot just cover this incident with `The Fog Of War` this is negligence and tantamount to manslaughter. A soldier to the MOD is just a piece of military machinery they do not look upon them as human and as such don’t care when they die. The MOD are unfit for purpose as yet again they have lost serving military personal details. MoD database goes missing This really is becoming a habit. I know that I have spoken before about the incompetence of the Government and this is true but ask yourself an even more worrying question. Are these security breaches being done deliberate? I am positive that within the upper echelons of British Government Box five and six there are agents whose soul purpose is to destroy us. Has anyone even thought about the current Global financial situation sometimes stocks and shares can be more damaging than bombs and bullets. Its not red tape that’s the problem its Red Government!
