Soldier from Royal Irish Regiment killed in Afghanistan





It is with deep regret that the Ministry Of Defence must announce that a soldier from 1st Battalion The Royal Irish Regiment was killed in Afghanistan, today, Sunday 14 November 2010. The soldier, serving as part of Combined Force Nad'e Ali (South), was killed as a result of wounds sustained from an Improvised Explosive Device blast in the southern Nad'e Ali area of Helmand Province.
