British troops 'to leave Iraq next year'

Oh well British troops 'to leave Iraq next year' then, that’s ok then. The thing is its not really up to the British or American or even Iraqi Government, its up to the militias, Al Qaeda, militants (A favourite BBC name) or plain criminal gangs. There could be a continued improvement in the security situation and everything goes to plan, but one thing your enemy does not want is for you to dictate the War. I feel that British troops will be allowed to leave and when they have gone there will be another upsurge of violence in and around Basra that the Americans will have to deal with? The real reason Brown is so keen to exit Iraq is so he can send the 4,000 British troops to Afghanistan. Personally I would rather be in Afghanistan than sat playing on my play station on an Iraqi airfield. Good luck to them whatever they do, they have done a great job and we owe it to the 177 KIA to complete the mission.
