MoD fury as Brown wields axe

A SENIOR defence official has warned that the armed forces are heading for a “train crash” because the government is starving them of funds for vital equipment.

  1. Wow! What recourse does the military have when they are not properly funded. exposure to the masses by the media??? That sure works in the US. Seems like if they have the funds to build ships they could divert some of the funds to the troops???? I ramble. stay well....

  2. In my opinion the MoD and the service chiefs have brought this on themselves. For years they have maintained the old boys club and split the budget in three equal slices irrespective of operational need. With the army doing all the fighting in recent years why was it not given priority. The case of BAE is a joke, money misspent , poor equipment and time delays. But they do give jobs to those who retire from the defence chiefs.
