A SENIOR defence official has warned that the armed forces are heading for a “train crash” because the government is starving them of funds for vital equipment.
In a confidential presentation to colleagues at a meeting in the Ministry of Defence to discuss budget cuts, he said defence spending had been so severely pruned that vitally needed equipment was simply unaffordable. He also warned that the government risked “mortgaging the future” of national defence. Read It Here
(RG) I’m afraid it goes against the Labour Governments grain to give cash to our Armed Forces. All socialists (Democrats) in the US have an institutional inbred hatred of the Armed Forces and it has now been proven that they are Mentally ill , something I have been saying for a while.

Wow! What recourse does the military have when they are not properly funded. exposure to the masses by the media??? That sure works in the US. Seems like if they have the funds to build ships they could divert some of the funds to the troops???? I ramble. stay well....
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the MoD and the service chiefs have brought this on themselves. For years they have maintained the old boys club and split the budget in three equal slices irrespective of operational need. With the army doing all the fighting in recent years why was it not given priority. The case of BAE is a joke, money misspent , poor equipment and time delays. But they do give jobs to those who retire from the defence chiefs.
