Tuesdays Fire Mission

Proud Troops March Through London This is fantastic to see, there is no doubt that the Country are more behind our boys now than they were when Iraq was invaded. People are starting to understand that our troops don’t decide where they want to go in the world they just serve their
Country regardless of politics.

Sun Hunts Pirates WTF !!!! I know the Sun is the biggest selling British daily newspaper but I didn’t realise they were also a private army or navy in this case, not that I care who wipes these vermin from the high seas. I doubt if you will see the Guardian doing this?

Gurkhas Prepare in Kenya These are very tough professional soldiers who are well suited to fighting the Taliban, I would rather face the Taliban any day than these guys.

Special Forces Heroes: Last Stand In Oman

Emotional Homecoming for RAF Regiment Welcome hone boys, job well done.

Legionnaires on The Defensive There is no need for bullying just for the sake of the pleasure of the NCOs but the French Foreign Legion are some of the best soldiers in the world exactly because of the brutal environment and that’s why they are a formidable fighting force like our British Para’s and Royal Marines. I think you have to be crazy to think the Legion would be a cushy number and they should be allowed to continue without too much interference from Government. At one time I did flirt with the idea of joining the Legion but I am glad I never as I would probably have deserted after getting my head kicked in so, I was best staying with 12 Regt RA.

MOD Civil Servant Recognised David Allen obviously looked after his lap tops.

Helmand hospitals benefit from refurbishment More news you wont see in the Guardian.

Inglourious Basterds' teaser posters I’m a big fan of Tarantino movies so I will be looking out for this one.

Queen's Navy ship returns to port
Well done to the Officers and crew of HMS Lancaster six months is a long tome to be away from loved ones, you deserve a long leave.

HMS Lancaster Leaves Portsmouth Harbour

Hitler's Favourite Brit Resort? Blackpool This really does go to prove that Hitler had lost the plot. I can find plenty of drunken gangs fighting vomiting and pissing in the streets in Barrow without going to Blackpool. Give me Bavaria any day!

Thousand of troops could be housed in new 'super garrison' It alright being big but that does not necessarily mean better. Our troops deserve a decent standard of accommodation, some of the accommodation these men have to live in would have Asylum seekers turning their noses up. I must say when I was stationed at Napier Barracks in West German the accommodation was spot on two man rooms and very clean and modern.

Man overboard call not 'a joke' This is a tragic story and the possibility of it being a joke doesn’t bare thinking about. RIP.

Record amount raised by appeal A very big thank you to the people of Swindon.

Soldier's body is returned to UK RIP Lance Corporal Stephen Kingscott.

Troop shortages mean Taliban retake ground in Helmand The Americans shouldn’t be laughing at our soldiers who are fighting along side them they should be supporting them, at least we are THERE sub standard equipment or noT , but one thing that is definitely not sub standard is the British militaries fighting spirit which has cost of more deaths than our bigger richer flasher American counterparts.

Top recruit Alex off to join mate in Afghan war Best of luck to you Alex Giles your Country is proud of you.

'Missing' Hearts war hero honoured 95 years on from iconic photograph
Least we forget.

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
