(RG) Somebody on Walney Island knows who is responsible for this despicable act and they need to come forward with information. I’m guessing its probably teenagers, but that’s just a guess. If it turns out to be teenagers they need to be educated in the grief and upset this kind of behaviour causes to relatives and colleagues of Peter Thorpe who gave his life serving his Country. I’m sure they will themselves have Grandparents or know someone buried in a local cemetery. How would they feel if someone did this to their graves? Just because this beautiful memorial is not inside the walls of a cemetery does not mean that it is equally a `special` and `cherished` place of respect and peace.
