Two CV-22 Osprey aircraft, assigned to the 71st Special Operations Squadron, take off from Kirtland Air Force base, N.M. as part of a training mission. The Osprey is a tilt rotor aircraft, which means it can take-off and land like a helicopter, but fly like a regular airplane. It is the newest addition to the Air Force aircraft inventory and is designed for Special Operations missions.
