(RG) The apathy of the British public is bad enough, shameful infact when you think how those young men must be feeling. But its worse even than that, I have been told by someone who lives in the area that not only were the streets empty but a few local people even hurled insults at the marching soldiers, many complained about the streets having to be closed for a short periods and the disruption to traffic. The blame for all of this lies squarely with Labour and its demonisation of the Armed Forces. In this Former Great Britain the Taliban itself would have received a warmer reception.
