Returning after a long trip can often seem a little strange. Especially after 4,833 days and 46,505 miles rounding the globe under your own muscle power. So explorer Jason Lewis was entitled to wonder at the Dome as he guided his pedal boat past the London landmark to finish the last stage of his remarkable record-breaking journey.
When he set off on July 12, 1994, there was no Dome, just one tower at Canary Wharf and many other riverside developments were not even a gleam in the eye of a developer. Read It Here

(RG) I just had to mention on my Blog explorer Jason Lewis , I am at a loss to even begin to describe his truly awe inspiring adventure. I like many others I assume did not even know that he was making this remarkable trip and was stunned when I heard about it on the news. He will rightly so go down in history now. This man is what epitomises the British spirit going back to men like Sir Edmund Hillary A lot has changed since he has been away, I’m surprised Customs didn’t pick him up and hand him over to immigration, wait a minute we don’t really have customs & immigration do we? Next time you are considering walking around to the shop for your paper or taking the car think of Jason Lewis a true British Hero.
