Controversial plans to ban a welcome home parade for soldiers from the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment when they return from Afghanistan have been overturned.
After saying no in April, Ulverston Town Councillors voted 14 to 1 in favour . It just goes to show you always get one arsehole. It seems the arseholes name is Colin Williams
Public opinion can and does make a difference, lets make this parade bigger and better and louder than it was ever going to be and show these boys that the REAL people of Ulverston and surrounding areas do care, the town councillors who voted no originally are not fit to lick these men’s boots. A huge thank you to all that helped in this campaign.
Common sense and decency prevails at last.

Yes, the good thing about the internet and face-book is it can get people organised quickly, yes named and shamed, I'm sure he or she wont be that ashamed once he or she crawls from beneath its rock!
