Harry 'To Quit Army' If Banned From Iraq
A senior Army source has told Sky News that the prince would leave the military if he was not allowed to serve in the country.
The comments followed reports that officials are becoming increasingly worried insurgents will target the prince and are considering a ban on him fighting on the frontline.Read It Here
(RG) Personally I am 100% behind Prince Harry. If he cannot go to Iraq with his soldiers or is kept in the rear his credibility amongst his fellow soldiers will be lost. If members of the Royal family are not allowed in combat zones then members of the Royal family should not be allowed in the armed forces full stop. They cannot be seen as playing soldiers, or sailors , or airmen or whatever as Prince Charles seems to do with a uniform for every occasion and a chest full of medals (What are they for ?) He seems to have slotted in nicely in many other ways getting shit faced with his mates and womanising so let the boy go the whole nine yards and experience the sharp end. British army officers are leaders how can they lead from behind a desk.

I totally agree with you......
ReplyDeleteAll that money spent on training him should not go to waste..let him do the job hes been trained for .
Its like training the Prince up to be a firefighter and when there is a shout he has to stay in the Station washing the engine so he dosesnt get burnt.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Andrew serve in the Falklands or am I wrong? xx
ReplyDeleteYes Emma you are correct Prince Andrew did serve as a Sea King helicopter pilot during the Falklands war.
ReplyDeleteAndrew was a Sea King CO-pilot, numero dos. The fella sat next to him was the boss.
ReplyDeleteHarry ought to have a very experienced sargeant to guide him. Unfortunately successive governments have destroyed the SNO cadre.
