The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (SCOTS DG) have fired almost 15 years' worth of rounds from their Challenger 2 Main Battle Tanks in just one day this week, making the most of a training opportunity in Iraq. The live-fire training day took place in the desert near Basra on Monday 17 November 2008 and saw the SCOTS DG fire some two hundred 120mm tank rounds that had come to the end of their useable service lives.
