The missile failure that makes Tony McNally's life a living hell.
(RG) This was the article that was in Saturdays Daily Mail. A vast improvement on The Independent On Sunday as they actually tell the reader the books name.
One press of a button should have saved 48 lives on the Sir Galahad troop ship. But Tony McNally's missile failed, and set him on a catastrophic course that 25 years on still make everyday a living hell... Read It Here

Hi Rogue, really don't know what to say to that, I am speechless but there is no wonder you have gone through what you have, you make me feel very humble.
ReplyDeleteHang in there you are one of the good guys out there.
xx
Thank you Emma. You can only quantify your own suffering, it is all relative and painful regardless off its causes. You are also a good person.
ReplyDeleteThis anonymous comment over at http://taxistorys.blogspot.com/ made me smile.
ReplyDelete“The local newspaper hasn't printed it because they couldn't compete with the fat fee McNally negotiated with the Daily Mail”
Just to put the record straight I did not receive any payment from the Daily Mail for the article about my book not that it is anyone’s business. Infact I had no input in this whatsoever. My publisher Monday Books arranged this. I have no idea what it would cost if you asked a National Newspaper to put a two page spread in their paper advertising a product but I assume it would run in to a few thousand pounds? As for the fact that the North West Evening Mail did not print my story this is because I told them not to. Over the years this paper has printed my wedding photograph on numerous occasions. You can imagine after a bitter divorce this is the last thing myself or my ex wife for that matter want to see plastered over the local paper. My ex wife has complained on numerous occasions about the wedding photograph and we thought that was the end of things. Until a few weeks ago when they published the wedding photograph again. This photograph is seven years old. It is common sense to use a more up to date photograph as people divorce and sadly people die. They seem to think that this is an unfortunate mistake, in my opinion it is a form of harassment. So that’s why its not in the local rag. Now what to do with my fat fee?
The guilt lies solely with the politicians and the senior military.
ReplyDeleteGo to the book shop buy yourself a hardback copy of 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand and by the time you reach the final chapter I hope you have acquired sufficient moral strength to SHRUG for yourself - you have already carried this burden for far too long.
