Conwy Falklands hero's name to be carved on war memorial

The family of David E Osborne have waited years to see his name on Old Colwyn's war monument The name of a Royal Navy cook, who died in the Falklands war, will finally be placed on a war memorial 33 years after his death following a U-turn by officials. David E Osborne had moved from Old Colwyn to Portsmouth at the age of ten. The serviceman - nicknamed “Ozzie” - perished with 19 other sailors when an Argentinian Exocet missile hit HMS Sheffield on May 4, 1982.
