Successor submarine shipyard gets £300m investment

More than £300m is to be invested in BAE Systems' submarine shipyard in Barrow, Cumbria, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced.

The redevelopment paves the way for the Successor submarine project, which could replace the UK's Trident nuclear deterrent system.

The Successor vessels are due to replace the Vanguard fleet, which currently carry the missiles.

The move is expected to create hundreds of new jobs at the site. Read More HERE



The wishy washy Liberals and the great unwashed and Country hating Lefties think this is a waste of money, I think its great for my home town, long may submarine building continue in Barrow.
