HMS FEARLESS (MODEL)
The launching of the model of HMS Fearless, a warship that saw service in the Falklands, it also featured in the James Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me".
This model was six years in the making and is the first large model made by Dennis Robotham, the model was built mostly from wood and fibreglass.
As there were no plans Denis used mainly photo's and the kind advice of Commander David J Faulks RN OBE, who was a former Lieutenant Commander of the ship, he was also kind enough to travel from his naval base to Needham Lake in Suffolk to officiate at the launch.
