I came across your blog while searching for military sites and I wanted to get in touch with you. I’m not sure if this is your most current email address, but hopefully this message makes its way into your hands! I am the International Awareness Coordinator for the Mesothelioma Cancer Center and we are trying to raise awareness within the military community on the risks associated with asbestos exposure. Since current and ex-servicemen, women and their families visit your site, I am hoping you would add our organization to your links to help us raise asbestos awareness.

As you may know, countless naval veterans around the world are suffering from life threatening illnesses resulting from exposure to asbestos on ships. These illnesses include mesothelioma cancer, asbestosis and lung cancer – often accompanied by disabilities. Asbestos was used because of its fire resistant properties, but is now recognized as a very dangerous substance.

Our website is considered one of the Web’s leading educational resources for individuals affected by asbestos exposure. We are very proud of our information on symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options for those in all countries who have been affected. We recently received HON certification, an internet standard created by the Health On The Net Foundation (HON). This is a Swiss based, leading nonprofit organization promoting and guiding the deployment of useful and reliable online medical and health information. We also offer assistance to American veterans -free of cost- who are applying for VA benefits, and have recently launched UK and Australia specific sections.

Right now we are in the midst of a public outreach, attempting to educate the military community on asbestos dangers. So far, the feedback and participation that we have received from websites like yours has been tremendous, so I want to make sure you don’t miss this information.
