Trauma Research

I am a postgraduate student at the University of Nottingham studying for an MSc in Health Psychology. This is within the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations, which is a postgraduate institute of applied psychology at the University of Nottingham, England.

I am currently investigating trauma, PTSD and general wellbeing; how stressful or traumatic life experiences or disfigurement may impact on an individual’s general health and well-being. The study is also interested in the way people cope with difficult life experiences. This is an online investigation and I would like to invite you to participate. If you are interested, please follow the link below for a full explanation of the study and to take part.

  1. I have just read 'rogue gunners' comment on the closure of Haslar Hospital in Gosport.
People keep saying that Haslar is the last Military Hospital left in Britain; this is NOT true, the Cambridge Military Hospital in Aldershot is still in 'mothballs' and has an Out-Patients Dept. open.
This wonderful Hospital could be reopened and restaffed with Military Medical and Nursing Staff very quickly.
It is well documented that Military patients have been both physically and mentally abused in Selly Oak Hospital by staff and trespassers in the hospitals.
It is time the public knew the truth behind the closures of these last two Military Hospitals.
