(RG) It was more a case of when Benazir Bhutto was killed and not if. Sadly for her the Pakistan she was returning to after her exile was a much changed place than the one she left and her death can only lead to many more deaths if not full scale civil war. As I predicted 2008 will probably be even bloodier than 2007 and this sad year hasn’t even finished yet. Lets not forget Pakistan is a nuclear armed Country and this death may have just lit the tinder box in the whole Indian sub continent and totally destabilised an already volatile nation. There are many who would have liked to have seen Bhutto killed but ask yourself which political figure would benefit the most? He may just have to put his army uniform back on now.
