A 19-year-old soldier has died after being shot during an exercise at a Ministry of Defence training ground in Kent.The male soldier has not been named but his next of kin have been informed.

It is with sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that an airman from 1 Squadron Royal Air Force Regiment died in Cyprus yesterday, Sunday 7 November, while returning from operational service in Afghanistan.
