Argentinian Forces in the Falklands war used Punji Sticks.

These images of  Punji Sticks I have posted are not from the jungles of Burma of even the Vietnam war, they were made by Argentine Forces when they invaded the Falkland Islands in 1982. They were found by Royal Engineers, I do not believe that anyone fell victims to these barbaric traps. It is thought that they even put human excrement of the tips of the weapons so even if you didn’t die immediately you may die of blood poisoning. They also raised a white flag in battles with the Parachute Regiment and then machine gunned them as they went to accept their surrender. To be honest I am not that shocked by this, as I new of many occasion where the Argentinians used booby traps, which were indiscriminate and could have killed our maimed civilians, like the cavalier attitude to laying uncharted mine fields which even today are a problem.
