Liverpool military show and memorial service scrapped as 'not diverse enough'

A military show was cancelled after town hall chiefs withdrew funding, because it didn't meet their "diversity criteria".The eighth annual Liverpool Military Show was due to take place at Walton Hall Park on Saturday, and featured a memorial service to fallen war heroes. But the event was scrapped at the last minute when council officials pulled out of providing £8,000 towards the costs. Organisers say they were informed that the show did not "score highly enough" on Liverpool City Council's "diversity scale" to justify funding from the arts and culture budget. Just 10 days earlier, Liverpool City Council had funded their annual "IDAHO" Gay Pride festival, celebrating the "International Day against Homophobia".Town Hall bosses have also agreed to provide £80,000 of funding for the Liverpool "Homotopia" festival in August. Like my local Ulverston town councillors who banned The Duke Of Lancaster’s marching on its streets, Liverpool which I would say is the most left wing city in Britain has cancelled the Liverpool Military Show. There is no change in Liverpool we may have Cameron’s Blue Labour in Downing street but the Military hating Socialists have a firm control of that city and will run rough shod over anyone who is patriotic and portray them as NAZIS. It really says it all when they would allow IRA supporters to march there, they would probably even allow the Taliban to march if they asked. Anyone who voted Labour and happens to support our military from Liverpool, I hope your proud of yourself.

  2. Unfortunately getting rid of a Socialist Government hasn't helped the proud military families in Liverpool. I know the American citizen wont be so foolish to vote the traitor Obama in again.
