CAMERON /CLEGG UNVEIL TRIDENT REPLACEMENT

Bookmark and Share

David Cameron and Nick Clegg have spent the last few sleepless nights debating a replacement for the Trident Submarine Deterrent. Mr Clegg was adamant he wanted to scrap the system that has kept us safe for decades, but Mr Cameron argued that he wanted a genuine replacement before he gave the go ahead for its axing. Eventually Mr Cameron agreed to Mr Cleggs proposal for a scaled down version, and presented the cabinet with the above prototype. Mr Cameron was no push over in these talks as he argued that the sailor on water-skis must be able to throw a grenade with his right hand. Clegg conceded to this as he only wanted the sailor to hold a small water pistol that would only be used if Britain was hit first by a Nuclear weapon.
