HMS Chatham's latest adventure in the Gulf of Aden has seen her provide urgent medical assistance to a seriously ill merchant seaman. The Royal Navy Type 22 Devonport-based frigate is currently deployed on NATO's counter-piracy Operation Ocean Shield. Having recently come to the aid of some Yemeni fishermen whose dhow was seen drifting helplessly, she has been in life-saving action again.
Its a good job he wasn’t a pirate with a water pistol our he could have captured the whole ship!
