MoD software blunder keeps Chinook helicopters grounded The MoD agreed to buy the Chinook Mk3s in 1995 for £259million but they have been kept in storage since they were delivered in 2001. Imagine if this incompetence was allowed in an airline company , you book your flight to New York and when you get to the airport they say sorry but we don’t have any aircraft because the software doesn’t work! If the MOD were not responsible for the lives our servicemen you could laugh , but its not funny at all. The MOD needs scrapping as they are clearly not fit for purpose.
