Gurkha Soldier Killed in Afghanistan



It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that a British soldier from 2nd Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles was killed as a result of enemy fire yesterday afternoon, Tuesday 4 November 2008, in the Musa Qaleh area of Helmand province Read It Here RIP

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
Britain mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
