Falklands hero Simon Weston dismisses Argentina's claim to South Atlantic islands
The former Welsh Guardsman accused the South Americans of “hysteria” as it emerged the Royal Navy is reportedly sending a nuclear submarine to the region just weeks ahead of the 30th anniversary of the Argentinean invasion.
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, arrived in the disputed archipelago on Thursday for a six-week tour of duty as an RAF search and rescue pilot – a move the Argentineans likened to the actions of a “conqueror”.
Relations between the countries had already deteriorated after the Royal Navy announced one of its most advanced new warships, HMS Dauntless, would undertake its maiden mission in the area. The Type 45 destroyer is due to set sail for the South Atlantic in the coming months to replace frigate HMS Montrose.Mr Weston, who suffered extensive facial disfigurement when the ship Sir Galahad was bombed at Bluff Cove in 1982, told Wales on Sunday the Argentineans’ attempt to claim sovereignty of the islands was flawed.

Simon is spot on we all know it and even the Argentineans know it no matter how much they cry over it, it wont change the fact that the Falkland Islands are British and always will be, leave those Islanders in peace to lead their lives without fear of invasion.
