British Army Infantry is apparently at 100% fully manned

In light of recent deaths of UK soldiers using the Jackal ATV (All terrain vehicle). This was an off the shelf job bought as part of Urgent operational requirements. There are mixed reports about this vehicle, some good some bad. The good are that it's a reliable vehicle that will literally go anywhere. The bad is that it's open top and gives very little protection from small arms fire. The Para’s think its a death trap (I agree with them) and prefer the WIMIK based on the land rover chassis. This is due to the fact that all passenger and driving stations are above wheels making you more vulnerable to IED blast and shrapnel. Makes you wonder what idiot designed them (Bin Laden) ?

The infantry is supposed to be at 100% manning! this is the news that’s being passed down right through the chain of command. I would imagine the recession has a lot to do with it. If the Infantry is apparently at 100% fully manned where are they all? Also if this is true then why is the rumour now floating round that 2 more Infantry battalions are due for the chop? These are 2 YORKS (used to be Green Howard’s) and one of the Scots Battalions (not sure which one but there has been a recruiting & retention crisis in Scotland for some time now).
