Crowds honour 40 Commando's Afghanistan deployment




Crowds lined the streets of Taunton to welcome home from Afghanistan the Royal Marines of 40 Commando yesterday, Thursday 31 July 2008.
The homecoming parade saw some 400 troops from the Commando unit, based at nearby Norton Manor, exercise the freedom of the town as a way of thanking the local community for its support during their deployment to Afghanistan which took place between October 2007 and April 2008.
