Every time I see a variant of the 556, it reminds me of the comment..."the AK47 cannot be said to have won the Vietnam War, but the Armalite certainly helped loose it for the Americans." As I test fired the Galil for a section of the South African Defence Force I can vouch for the above statement. So anyone who advocates this as a decent weapon is either an amateur or a fraud.
