Nine years ago this week, Earls Court Exhibition Centre in West London was alive with the sights and sounds of the Oldest Military Tattoo in the World as it started its “LAST RUN”. The 1999 Royal Tournament was the 119th Tournament (the annual show was not performed during the First and Second World Wars), in it’s final year the show played to full houses at Earls Court from 20th July – 2nd August 1999. Another thing that those bar stewards in government didn't understand and totally wrecked. I lost track of the number of times that I went to the Royal Tournament- It was always a fantastic atmosphere but will be incredibly difficult to reinstate.
ReplyDeleteYes Central Labour really don’t want a traditional military tattoo in the Capital it might send out the wrong message that Patriotism is a good thing and upset the tsunami of immigrants pouring in. Brown likes them all in Afghanistan driving around in cardboard box land rovers.
