  1. Such men belonged to my parents' generation. My father, whose eyesight was too poor for him to go into the forces, nonetheless volunteered at the outbreak of war, and served in the Admiralty during the day, ending up designing
    electronic equipment, and was a volunteer fireman at night.

    He then spent the Cold War years helping to support the Royal Navy.

    Some of us are old enough to remember and to be grateful for their sacrifice.

    However, I am now left wondering whether it was all in vain, given that our politicians and Civil Service Mandarins have before 1973 and ever since been selling this country out to their EU puppet-masters.
