Volunteer Army medics deploy to Helmand




Amongst 80 volunteer army medics who have just flown out to work at the British Field Hospital in Camp Bastion, southern Afghanistan are a carpenter, girl guide leader, helicopter pilot and a couple with three children. Read It Here


(RG) Some may say these people are foolish? I say they are brave and honourable. Medics are there to treat the wounded, their job is not to kill but to preserve life, anyone that does that whether it is in an operating theatre in the UK of the battlefields of Afghanistan is a Hero in my eyes.
